Most Northerly
Due to Unst’s location as the most northerly island in the British Isles, we obviously have the UK’s most northerly…shop, pub, doctor’s surgery, leisure centre, church, house….and so on.
Viking connections
There are various excavated sites around the island and a Viking replica longship, the Skidbladner and longhouse in Haroldswick. There is an extensive interpretation of Norse settlements on display at Unst Heritage Centre and Viking Unst Trail Packs are also available.
Muness Castle
